Conversation groups

Already speak Dutch? Come practise it.

Small live online conversation groups — at most 8 people, led by a native Dutch teacher — where you spend the session actually speaking, not studying. For people whose Dutch works but doesn't get enough use.

Never studied Dutch before? These groups assume you can already hold a conversation — start with the A1 course instead.

Speaking practice, straight answers

Is this a course or just practice?

It is structured practice: a small live group led by a native Dutch teacher, built around speaking. You will not sit through grammar lectures — the teacher steers the conversation, corrects what matters, and keeps everyone talking. Each group runs as a short block with fixed dates, shown on every card before you decide.

What level do I need to join a conversation group?

You should already be able to hold a basic conversation in Dutch. Join the A2 group if you manage everyday situations but still switch to English when it gets hard; join the B1 group if you can discuss most topics and want more fluency and range. Complete beginners start with the A1 course instead — conversation groups assume you can already speak.

How big are the groups?

At most 8 people — the same cap as all our group classes. In a conversation group the size cap is the product: it is what guarantees you actually speak in every session instead of listening to others speak.

What if there is no group at my level right now?

Tell us which days and times could work for you via the class request form. We plan new groups around real demand, and we will email you when a conversation group matching your request opens. Nothing to pay in the meantime.
