Improve your Dutch to a highly acceptable level in a group of up to eight students. Across 10 live sessions, held twice a week, you will cover units 1–2 of Nederlands in actie and practice Dutch for a variety of situations. You will improve your speaking, listening, reading, and writing while building essential, more advanced vocabulary and grammar. If your goal is the inburgering exam, this course is a useful, important, and practical step. However, it is not a dedicated exam-preparation course. You will need to study independently and practice the exam format separately.

Conduct interviews, talk about background and lifestyle, discuss food and healthy habits, create short advertisements, and write emails and grocery messages.
Grammar you'll master
- Word formation (woordvorming) & main clause structure (de hoofdzin)
- Conjunctions and complex sub-clauses (conjuncties)
- Infinitives with om te (om te + infinitief)
- Polite requests and hypothetical situations using zou(den) (1)

Dutch B1.1 Intensive Course is taught at B1.1 on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) scale used across Dutch language education. At this level you'll typically be able to handle most real-life situations, including work in non-specialist roles and describing experiences.
